Since its inception in 1998, AMT has become a leader in the field of human gene therapy. AMT has used its scientific know-how and expertise to build up a strong research and clinical development program filling an unmet medical need for therapies of severe (orphan) diseases in the following areas: metabolic disorders, liver diseases, blood diseases, disorders of the central and peripheral nervous systems. AMT is located on the premises of the AMC, and employs a staff of over 70 highly educated people with scientific and industrial experience. AMT has state-of-the-art GMP facilities as well as R&D and QC laboratories.

Discovery Genomics, Inc. (DGI) was founded in 2000 and became operational in January 2002. DGI maintains exclusive rights to two breakthrough technologies that significantly enhance the development of new therapeutics – from gene discovery to treatment delivery. Our primary focus is to use these proprietary technologies to deliver gene therapies for blood diseases in collaboration with strategic partners. To advance our gene therapy development efforts, we also seek to license our technologies in areas outside our therapeutic focus.
