Since its inception in 1998, AMT has become a leader in the field of human gene therapy. AMT has used its scientific know-how and expertise to build up a strong research and clinical development program filling an unmet medical need for therapies of severe (orphan) diseases in the following areas: metabolic disorders, liver diseases, blood diseases, disorders of the central and peripheral nervous systems. AMT is located on the premises of the AMC, and employs a staff of over 70 highly educated people with scientific and industrial experience. AMT has state-of-the-art GMP facilities as well as R&D and QC laboratories. |
