The Food and Environment Research Agency plays a vital role, increasingly on a world stage, in anticipating the issues, assessing the risks and gathering the evidence to guide policy response. |

FRS Freshwater Laboratory
Fisheries Research Services (FRS) is an agency of the Scottish Government Marine Directorate (SGMD). FRS became a government agency in April 1997, incorporating the Marine Laboratory in Aberdeen, the Freshwater Laboratory in Pitlochry and outstations throughout Scotland. It employs over 300 staff. FRS is headed by a Chief Executive and Director who is responsible to Scottish Ministers. |

Genoma Espaňa
Genoma España is the Foundation for the development of genomics and proteomics research in Spain. It is supported by the Spanish State through the Ministries of Health and Consumer Affairs, and Innovation and Science. Recently, the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce and the Ministries of Environment, and Agriculture, Fishery and Food have also decided to support the activities of Genoma España. In addition, the Foundation is open to private as well as regional government involvement, which may become part of its Board of Trustees. |
