Biocel Paskov a.s. is a joint-stock company situated in Paskov, in the North Moravia region of the Czech Republic. The production of pulp in this region dates back to the end of the 19th century. The trademark product of the company is bleached magnesium-bisulfite pulp that is sold under the brand name VIAN-PASKOV. With its 280 000 tons capacity Biocel Paskov is the leading European producer of sulfite pulp. Most of production is given over to the bleached pulp VIAN-PASKOV grade ECO, which fulfills the characteristics of TCF pulp. It is used for producing hygiene paper, packaging used for direct contact with food products and for producing graphics paper. More than ninety percent of the production is exported abroad, particularly to countries of the European Union.
