The European Bioscience Centre was opened in Dunboyne, Co. Meath, Ireland in 1999. The facility is home to our European Headquarters and supports 42 countries and 26 different languages. The Bioscience Centre offers a unique advantage as it houses all support functions for the European market including research, marketing, customer service, quality control, administration, IT, training and financial services to Alltech’s largest sales region. The research facility in Dunboyne has a strong emphasis on fundamental research encompassing biotechnology, microbiology and chemistry-based disciplines. Such fundamental research has resulted in the development of unique insights into specific topics such as yeast cell wall architecture, trace element chelation, bio-marker detection and microbial population dynamics. The facility is in close proximity to a number of internationally renowned universities with which strong collaborative research links have been established.
